CPT News Release: CPT secures 1000 extra parking spaces for coaches in London
CPT has teamed up with bus operator Go-Ahead to provide an extra 1000 coach parking spaces in central London this spring. Starting from Monday 16 May, 30 coach parking spaces will be available to CPT Members each day at Go-Ahead’s Camberwell (20) and Stockwell (10) bus depots for a 6-week trial period (ends Friday 24 June).

The Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT) has today welcomed results of the latest Bus Passenger Survey carried out by Passenger Focus. The Survey shows that 88% of bus passengers in the areas covered are satisfied with their bus services.
Construction works on the M25 coming soon
Following the Highway Agency's construction works on the M25, between junctions 5-7 and 23-25, in the spring they will be opening the road to operate as 'All Lane Running' (all lanes open to traffic, with no hard shoulder).

Coach Parking facilities on The Mall
Following negotiations between CPT, Westminster Council and The Royal Parks, coach parking facilities on The Mall have changed and will now be open from 9am to 6pm (or dusk) on Monday to Saturday.

Additional funding announced to bring 55 low carbon buses into service
Government schemes to provide more carbon-cutting buses and reduce pollution from existing buses are being extended. Speaking at industry event Coach and Bus Live (2 October 2013) Transport Minister Norman Baker announced additional money will be made available to bring 55 more low carbon buses into service and to retro-fit dozens more to clean up their exhaust fumes.

VOSA News Release: First time pass rates improve again
Pass rates at annual test continue to improve across the board according to VOSA’s 2012/13 effectiveness report published today. Figures show that the pass rates at annual test continue to rise; including an 81.5% first time pass rate for buses, 77.6% for Heavy Goods Vehicles and 84.3% for trailers.
