After a couple of weeks back behind my desk at Alpine looking out across the lower reaches of the Snowdonia Mountains now being blessed with a covering of early winter snow, it felt really quite unusual to once again be boarding the 06.42hrs Virgin Voyager from Colwyn Bay to London for my last official duties of 2014.

The following update to the CPT Compliance Manual have been made today:
CPT News Release: CPT secures reduction in Heathrow Airport West Ramp Coach Park charges
The Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT), working with Heathrow Airport and the London Tourist Coach Operators Association (LTCOA), has secured agreement that the charges for coach operators using the West Ramp Coach Park will be reduced to £21.56 per vehicle for 2015 and 2016. This is a reduction of 7% against the current price. The new charge will apply from 1 January.
A Little Bit of Politics
The General Election will take place on 7 May 2015. In the lead up to polling day, CPT's in-house political pundit will follow the fortunes of the main parties.
Our in-house political pundit has also been closely following the referendum for Scottish independence which took place on 18 September 2014.

CPT News Release: Traffic Commissioner awards first Engineering Manager Accreditation
The Traffic Commissioner for the north east of England, Kevin Rooney has today presented CPT’s very first Bus & Coach Engineering Manager Accreditation to Craig Boiling of West Midlands based Travel De Courcey.
