The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) is the voice of the UK’s bus and coach sector. We represent operators and suppliers of all sizes and support our members through expert advice, policy leadership, and collaborative industry development. In an evolving operating environment shaped by devolution and regional decision-making, we are committed to ensuring that our members remain at the forefront of accessible, sustainable, and high-quality passenger transport.
The Deputy Regional Manager (North) role is a newly created position which will strengthen CPT’s regional operations and enhance our capacity to support members as the transport sector adapts to a devolving and increasingly localised policy landscape.
Working closely with CPT's Regional Manager for the North, Andrew McGuinness, the Deputy Regional Manager will help deliver the high standards of service and support our members have come to expect, while playing a key role in shaping CPT’s local engagement, influence, and responsiveness to the Devolution agenda.
We’re looking for a proactive, knowledgeable, and adaptable professional with:
-
A strong understanding of the UK public transport sector.
-
Demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, or policy advocacy.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident and professional approach.
-
The ability to think strategically while handling operational detail and priorities.
-
Flexibility to travel within the region and occasionally further afield.
-
A collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering real value to members and the wider industry.
